Rob has accepted a calling to become a pastor of a Presbyterian church in rural Kentucky. He worked so hard for this calling for the past six plus years, and it’s his turn. I’m looking for a teaching or social service job, and I’m staying positive. Buffy and Diana, our dog and cat, are anxious and excited to get out of the townhouse apartment with very little yard and move into a nice double-wide manse and a nice yard. Hopefully, we will be settled by the end of summer.
New place, new people, new job, new house, new state… What a major change!
The purpose of this blog is to chronicle our lives as we move, as we settle, as we learn about the people, and as we travel on this journey. We hope you will enjoy reading our narratives and seeing photos of our lives.

Hey Rob and Beth! I’ve been thinking and praying for you all. It sounds like God is opening doors slowly, but surely. An exciting time, I’m sure (as well as anxious – I remember when I moved to Staunton from MD kicking and screaming!) I look forward to watching your journey.

Beth, I can relate to what Harry was saying. Even though I am a Virginian at heart, I really grew roots in MD. I was kicking and screaming as well, but funny thing is… it was my own decision. I had no spouse to tell me we had to move
You will be fine in KY, after all, you made it in VA! It was a strange land for you as well. I will keep checking your blog from time to time to see how you are doing, so make sure you keep up! I sure will miss our carpooling!!!
Have a safe trip down there where nothing but trees and WalMart exist
